Now accepting applications for the Fall 2026 semester. Please complete one application per student — within 24 hours you'll receive an email prompting you to schedule a family interview with academy leadership.
Highland Academy is intentionally selective. Every family meets with leadership before registering for courses, so we can make sure Highland is the right fit — and so you have every question answered before you commit.
Please fill out an application for each student interested in taking a course at Highland Academy. The form takes about 10 minutes.
Once submitted, you will receive an email prompting you to schedule a family interview (it may take up to 24 hours to receive this email). You MUST complete both steps before attempting to register for any courses.
After your application is received, you'll get an email from us with a link to schedule your family interview. Both parent(s)/guardian and the applying student(s) should plan to attend.
If you have younger children at home, please arrange care so they aren't a distraction during the interview. We want everyone's full attention on the conversation.
No quizzes. No surprises. The family interview is a relaxed conversation designed to make sure Highland is a good fit for your student — and to make sure you have every detail you need before you commit to a course.
We want to know your family — your homeschooling philosophy, what's working at home, and what you're hoping Highland can add to your week.
Grade level, strengths, what they love, what they wrestle with. We're not assessing your student — we're learning where Highland can serve them well.
Class days, weekly rhythm, expectations between class meetings, and how Highland's calendar fits the rest of your homeschool week.
The full per-course tuition schedule, any one-time fees, payment options, and what's included. No surprises, ever.
Highland is a Christ-centered academy. We talk through what that looks like in practice and make sure our values align with your family's.
Bring your list. We'd rather you ask too many questions than have you leave the interview wondering about anything.
If you'd like to ask a question before submitting your formal application, drop us a note here. We'll get back to you within one school day and you can apply when you're ready.
Most families come to their family interview with similar reasons. Here's what we hear from new families about why they decided to apply.
"I taught my kids through elementary, but high school chemistry and Algebra 2 are out of my depth. I need partners I trust."
"My homeschool group is great for elementary. For high school, my son needs a peer community who share our values."
"I love that I can outsource difficult subjects without worrying about what my kid is being taught about the world."
"We've homeschooled for ten years. We're not going to a traditional school. Highland is the only hybrid that respects that."
"My junior needs transcripts that hold up. Highland's structure gives us that without losing what's special about homeschooling."
"I've talked to three Highland families. They all said the same thing — the leadership is honest and the teachers actually care."
